中秋節家家戶戶紛紛飄來烤肉味，烤肉似乎已成了應景的全民運動，食藥署提醒，烤肉時應保持良好的衛生習慣，不食用未徹底加熱的海鮮及肉類，並使用肥皂勤洗手，才能避免食品中毒。
在節氣交替、溫暖潮濕的中秋時節，很適合各種微生物生長，一旦食物保存及烹調不當，就容易變質腐敗。食藥署建議，烤肉食材不購買過量、食材選擇要新鮮，生食、熟食需使用不同器皿盛裝，避免交叉污染；在烤貝類產品時，慢烤至殼張開後，務必要再多烤一會兒再行食用，其他海鮮及肉類產品也務必要徹底加熱，切勿因追求生鮮的口感，卻忽略潛在的中毒風險。此外，在中秋烤肉時，要先牢記以下預防食品中毒「五要原則」：
（一）要洗手：調理食品前後需徹底洗淨雙手，有傷口要包紮。
（二）要新鮮：食材要新鮮，用水要衛生。
（三）要生、熟食分開：處理生、熟食需使用不同器具，避免交互污染。
（四）要徹底加熱：食品中心溫度超過70℃，細菌才容易被消滅。

（五）要注意保存溫度：食材保存應低於7℃，若置於室溫環境則不宜過久。

原PO提到，媽媽的朋友特地送來自己泡製3天的溏心蛋，由於當時家人都在忙，阿公就先吃了一顆，卻發現裡面的蛋黃沒熟，「阿公很貼心的把所有的溏心蛋都拿去燙過了，最後溏心蛋都變成像茶葉蛋了！」
